? Contract / Temporary Position

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support ongoing operations through accurate data input, document management, and reporting functions. This is a contract opportunity with immediate need due to a recent vacancy on the team.
Position Overview
This role will focus primarily on entering and organizing approximately three years of lab analysis documentation into Excel spreadsheets and internal systems. Additional responsibilities may include scanning, digital filing, and maintaining organized electronic records.

The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and prior experience handling high volumes of data accurately.
Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately input data from various documents into spreadsheets and databases
  • Verify data accuracy and identify inconsistencies or errors
  • Maintain and organize electronic records and scanned documentation
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for sorting, filtering, formulas, and reporting
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure data integrity
  • Update and maintain current records across platforms
  • Generate reports and assist with data tracking initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support operational needs
Qualifications Required:
  • 1–3 years of data entry experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
  • Experience with quality control in data handling
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or data entry software
  • Experience with data cleansing and validation techniques
  • Intermediate Excel skills including:
    • Pivot Tables
    • VLOOKUP
    • Conditional Formatting
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Additional certification in Microsoft Excel or related fields is a plus
