Introduction

Reporting to the Senior Director Automotive End Market GlobalFoundries (GF) the Manager Automotive Processing will be responsible for the business development strategy and long-term growth of GFs portfolio within microcontrollers and microprocessors applications of a modern car. The strategy proposal will address both product and business aspects from product differentiation through revenue realization.
The right applicant will have a combination of business acumen and technical capability to interact with customer BU and R&D technical teams at their technical level and offer solutions to their current needs while collaboratively shaping future roadmap or she will also proactively translate market trends technical and commercial requirements into actionable insights to inform and influence GFs automotive strategy. A core requirement for this individual is the ability to convert customer requirements to market requirements (MRD) and assist in the development of process technology requirements (PRD) as a deliverable to our technology solutions-oriented culture. This individual will also work in partnership with the commercial and product teams at GF to win customer projects within the Automotive Processing Segment.
This position will be based in Europe (Munich or Dresden) and will play a key role in expanding GFs presence with European Tier-1 suppliers semiconductor companies and OEM partners engaged in next-generation automotive compute and control platforms.

Your Job

• Understand market trends and requirements for Automotive Processing solutions (MCU MPU NPU).

• Drive business development with customers in partnership with sales to deliver profitable design win pipeline and revenue growth.

• Build and strengthen relationships with European Tier-1 suppliers semiconductor companies and OEMs to drive design wins and align technology needs with GFs differentiated offerings.

• Serve as a champion of GFs technology solutions with strong external presence at customer technology conferences trade shows webinars etc.

• Define the market requirements creating MRDs for new process technology & design IP.

• Create & deploy compelling presentation collateral (Sales kit) on GF unique processes and provide sales team training for effective customer adoption.

• Drive marketing campaigns and go-to-market strategy in partnership with the marketing team.

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Semiconductor Engineering Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.

• 10 years of experience in semiconductor business development product marketing or technical sales with a focus on automotive compute or processing technologies.

• Deep domain expertise in Automotive MCU MPU and compute architecture.

• Travel Requirements: approximately 25% of travel.

• Demonstrated experience engaging with Tier-1 suppliers semiconductor partners and OEMs in Europe.

• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into strategic business opportunities.

• Strong team player with a positive attitude and proactive work ethic.

• Ability to identify opportunities and independently pursue strategic opportunities.

• Excellent communication presentation and stakeholder management skills across global cross-functional teams.

• Fluent in English; German proficiency is highly preferred.
