Job Summary
The Payroll Specialist supports all aspects of the pay and benefits including the payroll cycle, administering benefits, payroll documentation and queries associated with pension, medical insurance, and bonus payments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Resposible for processing the payroll on time ensuring payroll software has been updated with all relevant changes
- Supports the process to ensure all new starters, leavers and promotions are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Responsible for timely and professional resolution of employee payroll related queries
- Checking of changes to employee master data
- Checking of payroll reports to ensure no errors have been generated
- Assists with the preparation of the annual payroll schedule and timeline with payroll provider
- Reviews year-end payroll reports and reconcile
- Completes payroll related forms as requested by employees
- Supports initiatives to increase employee understanding of payroll
- Participates in internal audits as required
- Identifies improvements and support any compensation changes initiatives where required
- Responsible for reportings and accruals
Education
- Bachelor's degree in the commercial field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, etc.)
- Alternatively commercial apprenticeship (e. g. industrial clerk) or similar education with adequate professional experience
Work Experience
- 3+ years in an HR or Finance department
- Experience with the processing of complex payrolls
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Very good knowledge about payroll related software such as SAP
- Experience with external payroll providers
- Very good knowledge about MS Office tools (especially Excel and Word)
- Must be detail oriented and have strong organisational skills
- Experience in dealing with and manging employee queries in an efficient and professional manner
- Sets high standards of performance for self and others and assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation and within the HR Team
- Fluent German and good English skills
License and Certifications
- Certified Payroll Professional or similar would be preferred #LI-AP1 #LI-HYBRID
Physical Requirements
Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Pay Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is €54,200.00 - €68,900.00. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role. This position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment. In addition, team members are eligible to participate in the company’s benefits and total rewards programs applicable to their location and employment status.
