Construction Engineer/Materials Controls Pharma Project

Overview

PM Group are seeking an experienced Construction Engineer / Materials Controller for a large-scale pharmaceutical project in the greater Frankfurt region.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with PMG (PM Group) and Procurement on free-issue Equipment schedules, delivery, storage, receipts, site inspection and issue to installation contractors
• Reviews procurement schedule and expediting report weekly with PMG and procurement and highlights any concerns relative to ROS (Request on site) dates for construction
• Manages/co-ordinates Equipment vendor site services.
• Manages/ liaises with PMG Design / Procurement arranging attendance at / coordinating SAT'S, pressure testing and witnessing, etc.
• Ensure GRN’s (Goods Received Note) are complete where required
• Manage contractor performance for specialized installations
• Ensure construction compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards
• Special tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Substantial experience in large-scale pharmaceutical, industrial and/or mission critical construction projects of which at least 3 years of construction site experience in Germany
• Logistical and Materials handling experience is essential
• Knowledge of EU GMP requirements, an understanding of German construction regulations, pharma facility licensing requirements, and European regulatory compliance standards - would be ideal
• Fluency in German (B2+) and English skills (B1+)
• Valid work permit for Germany
• Flexibility to work on site
