We are now looking for a Tendering Specialist in Zaventem, Belgium. The position can also be based in Rotterdam or Paris.
In this role you will work closely with the sales team to define and compile tenders for both our new and service business. You will be part of our Grid Automation Europe tendering team within the Hitachi Energy Group. The tendering organization is truly international andlocatedin various locations across Europe. Weoperatein a dynamic and growing market and are nowseekingto strengthen the team with experienced tendering professionals in Belgium.
How you´ll make an impact
Prepare and manage end-to-end tenders,bidsand quotations, ensuring competitive,accurateand on-time submissions
Coordinate and align technical, commercial,financialand contractual inputs across internal teams and external stakeholders
Identifyand assess risks in bids and contracts, contributing to informed decision-making
Support sales by understanding customer needs, while collaborating with engineering and supply chain to define solutions and evaluate suppliers
Build and nurture strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and support sales in ensuring the client hasa great experiencethroughout the entire sales process, providing the required technical support
Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering Teams toidentifypotential vendors for equipment and materialsrequiredin the project and evaluate supplier offers from technical and commercial perspectives to match specifications
Your background
Holding a master’s or bachelor’s degree or similar in a relevant area, such as electrical, mechanical or automation engineering
3–5 years of experience (or senior level — both welcome)
Previousexperience in engineering, tendering, (technical) project management or sales, and a strong technical background is highly valued
Preferably good technical background inAlternative experiences / backgroundalso willbe considered.power system engineeringandknowledgeofdomain technologysuch as Substation Automation and Protectionsystems, SCADA, RTUs, IEDs and mission-critical communication.Alternative experiences / backgroundalso willbe considered.
On a personal level, you are a self-motivated, reliable team player withstrong communicationand collaboration skills
You are structured, persistent, and well-organized in your work and ready to work in an international and multicultural environment
You are fluent in French and English or Dutch and English, both oral and written
