This role can be based in either Berlin or Munich.

Scalable Capital was built in the cloud from day one. Our services leverage a variety of serverless technologies including Fargate and Lambda. We additionally use a multi account strategy for logical separation of workloads.

The Network Engineering team is part of the Core Tribe which manages the cloud platform that underpins Scalables entire infrastructure. The team delivers all core network services at scale leveraging the latest cloud-native technologies and maintaining highly available connections to external addition the Network Engineering team designs and maintains reusable infrastructure components and provides support to development teams. Together these efforts provide a strong foundation for building innovative financial services.

As part of the Network Engineering team:

  • You will design maintain and operate multiple cloud networks on AWS providing a secure and highly available environment for our internal development teams
  • You will be responsible for improving Scalables cloud infrastructure and automation using AWS Terraform and Python
  • You will ensure high-availability connectivity for our most critical applications and partner integrations
  • You will support guide and empower our engineering teams to further strengthen our DevOps culture

Qualifications :

  • Experience with core AWS networking services such as: VPC ELB PrivateLink Route 53 is a must
  • Proficient with Infrastructure as Code ideally Terraform
  • Proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language
  • Nice to have: Experience with broader AWS services network management and network troubleshooting
  • A passion for automating and improving processes while keeping security and reliability in mind
  • A degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science engineering sciences) or work experience in a role that typically requires a university degree
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely in an international English-speaking environment
