International Graduate Trainee - focus on business administration / economics (m/f/d)*

Our International Graduate Trainee Programme offers you exciting insights and a thorough introduction to the diverse activities of a leading global reinsurer. This provides you with the exceptional opportunity to advance your expertise and drive your personal development.

Over a period of 24 months, including an international assignment, you will receive in-depth training in underwriting as well as in professional, methodological and social skills. Your Job

Depending on your skills profile, your tasks may include:

• Comprehensive underwriting of (casualty) treaty business, including risk assessment, pricing, wording with exposure to the full underwriting value chain or
• Drafting and negotiating (re)insurance contracts with clients, analyzing and assessing trends in the field of property and casualty reinsurance for facultative or treaty clients
• Experience the opportunities and insights offered by one of the world's leading risk managers
• Participate in an international assignment of 12 weeks to broaden your intercultural experience
• Acquire profound knowledge of our business as well as further developing your soft skills in our distinguished global learning programme
• Take the opportunity to quickly build a broad network of industry experts within Munich Re worldwide

Your Profile

• Very good university degree in economics, business administration, finance or a similar degree
• Initial work experience (e.g. internships or up to two years of work experience after graduation), ideally in the (re)insurance or financial sector
• Strong analytical skills, programming skills and/or data analytics skills (e.g. R, SQL, Python, Power BI, VBA) are very beneficial
• At least three months experience abroad (studies or internship/work experience abroad)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to learn
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and German required, additional languages are an advantage
• Curious and creative mindset
