This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced leader to play a pivotal role in the continued growth of our business, leading the successful delivery of major hyperscale and mission-critical projects while building a high-performing regional team.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Operations Director - Data Centres, the Regional Director will provide strategic leadership across all operations within Germany.

You will have overall responsibility for project delivery, commercial performance, client relationships, operational excellence and the continued growth of Suir Engineering's presence within one of Europe's most important data centre markets.

The successful candidate will combine strong operational leadership with commercial awareness and an ability to develop long-term relationships with clients, consultants, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Lead and implement Suir Engineering's operational strategy across Germany.
• Provide executive leadership across multiple large-scale Data Centre projects.
• Drive operational excellence, consistency and best practice across all project teams.
• Develop and mentor Project Directors and senior management teams.
• Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Project Delivery

• Maintain overall accountability for the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• Oversee project performance from pre-construction through commissioning and final handover.
• Provide leadership on programme, commercial, contractual and technical matters.
• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Commercial & Business Performance

• Take ownership of regional operational and commercial performance.
• Support tender reviews, project planning and bid strategy.
• Drive cost certainty, forecasting and financial performance across the portfolio.
• Monitor project KPIs and ensure robust reporting to the Executive Leadership Team.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Represent Suir Engineering within the German Data Centre market.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Promote repeat business opportunities through exceptional project delivery.

People Leadership

• Recruit, develop and retain high-performing project teams.
• Create succession plans and leadership development programmes.
• Champion employee engagement and professional development.
• Encourage collaboration across Operations, Commercial, Planning, Engineering, Procurement, EHS and Finance functions.

Health, Safety & Quality

• Demonstrate visible leadership in health, safety and wellbeing.
• Ensure full compliance with all statutory, client and company requirements.
• Drive a culture where quality and safety are embedded in every aspect of project delivery.

About You

You are an experienced construction leader with a proven track record delivering complex mission-critical or major infrastructure projects.

You will possess:

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience leading large-scale Data Centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or other mission-critical construction projects.
• Proven experience managing multiple high-value projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial, contractual and financial management capability.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience developing high-performing teams within fast-paced project environments.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and CSA construction.
• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence at all levels.

Previous experience working with hyperscale clients would be advantageous.
