About Alpine Business Consulting Alpine Business Consulting is a specialized team that fixes enterprise performance management and reporting systems. We often work with organizations that have invested heavily in tools like Oracle EPM or SAP BPC only to find that their initial configuration was incomplete or flawed. Our job is to step in, clean up the data, and provide a single source of truth that finance teams can actually trust every morning. We are currently working with a major logistics firm to overhaul their internal systems and ensure their reporting is reliable and predictable.
The role We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our remote team. In this entry level position, you will support our senior consultants by coordinating tasks, managing documentation, and keeping our engagements on schedule. This is a full time, permanent position that is fully remote, allowing you to work from your own environment while staying connected to our global projects. This is a paid role, and the compensation is competitive for the entry level market.
Because we operate with fixed price quotes, project discipline is essential. You will learn how to manage complex technical projects without the fluff often found in larger corporate agencies. Your focus will be on clarity, transparency, and helping our consultants deliver systems that the client can manage independently once our work is done.
What you will do - Maintain and update project schedules to ensure all milestones are met on time.
- Attend project meetings with the logistics firm and circulate detailed notes and action items.
- Organize project folders and ensure all files follow our internal naming conventions.
- Assist consultants in drafting configuration guides and user documentation for the handover process.
- Monitor task completion across the team and flag any potential delays to senior management.
- Help prepare regular status reports that provide the client with a transparent view of progress.
- Coordinate the collection of project data to ensure internal reporting remains clean and accurate.
- Assist with the administrative steps required to close out a project phase and transition to the next.
What we are looking for - A degree or recent coursework in business, project management, or a related field.
- Strong basic skills in spreadsheets and document organization.
- The ability to write clear, professional emails and documentation without using corporate jargon.
- A high level of organization and an interest in following structured processes.
- The ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying in close communication with a team.
- Curiosity about how finance systems and data reporting impact large organizations.
- A preference for direct, plain-spoken communication and specific task management.
How we work Alpine Business Consulting avoids the typical buzzwords and focus on results that work in the real world. We believe in providing clients with everything they need to be independent, which is why our documentation and handover processes are so detailed. We value consultants who have real-world experience and who prefer a predictable, transparent workflow. Working with us means you will be part of a team that values clean data and fixed outcomes over vague promises. We prioritize clear communication and the ability to deliver what was promised at the price that was quoted.
