As Siemens is creating technology to transform the everyday for everyone, the Technology & Financial Audit Practice plays a pivotal role in providing assurance to the Managing Board and the Audit Committee. We cover a wide range of technology and finance-related global audit topics such as assurance over entire digital ecosystems, AI and data governance, SW development, major IT transformations, customer project execution, organizational maturity at small / mid-size entities, sustainability reporting or new digital products and business models.

What part will you play?

• Identify key risks related to Siemens's AI activities - in internal processes as well as in our products, covering technical, operational, contractual and regulatory aspects.
• Support the continuous evolution of AI governance at Siemens.
• Design and execute comprehensive audit programs and controls to address the identified risks.
• Enhance and challenge existing audit techniques, e.g. by driving the responsible and effective use of AI in audit and lifting the potential from automation and data analytics.
• Independently drive assurance objectives, define and align conclusions and recommended improvements to implement change (as necessary) in the organization.
• Drive meetings with auditees and key stakeholders to present the team's conclusions and recommended improvements.
• Actively contribute to shaping the future of audit in the age of AI.
• Build and maintain your network in various Siemens businesses and functions.
• Conduct your audit engagements using CF A's Agile Audit Framework.

What you need to make real what matters.

• Proven track record of career development including several years of professional experience within Siemens, or a technology company, or a respected assurance and consulting firm.
• Strong academic history with a degree (Master or Ph.D.) in AI, data science, statistics, economics or related fields.
• A passion for getting AI right, i.e. facilitating innovation and speed responsibly.
• Deep expertise and hands-on experience with at least one of the following areas:
  • Developing AI solutions in different configurations (training ML models, utilizing foundation models, monitoring them in production), ideally in industrial settings, critical infrastructure or financial services.
  • Testing or certifying AI systems, devising AI governance, formulating technical standards for AI in industrial settings.
• Experience with AI deployments in the cloud.
• Understanding of IT risk management (e.g., IAM, DR/BC) and assurance principles.
• Certifications like ISACA AI Audit or IAPP AI Governance Professional are a plus.
• Strong desire and drive to develop into a business or functional role after 3-5 years in audit.
• Excellent communication skills to summarize and describe technical audit results for senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English, flexibility to travel (up to 30%, incl. international travel) and embracing our hybrid working model is essential.
