As a Communications Manager for Prime Video in Germany, you will work with our local team in Munich to imagine, develop and execute communications programs and publicity campaigns designed to support our slate of German Original series and movies, along with our biggest award winning original and exclusive shows and movies from all over the world.

As a local Communications Manager, you will be relied upon as an advisor to business partners and international communications colleagues and support global campaigns taking into consideration cultural nuances for impactful regional media strategies.

Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a Communication subject matter expert for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
- Development and implementation of Communication strategies and publicity campaigns for locally produced Original TV (across unscripted and scripted), global Original and Exclusive series and the extensive movie and TV portfolio of Prime Video.
- Development and implementation of concepts for premieres and other events relating to Prime Video, including interviews with talent, set visits and press junkets for original, exclusive and first run content.
- Close cooperation with fellow Prime Video Communications associates from across Europe and worldwide as well as international colleagues from Amazon MGM Studios.
- Work with key stakeholders across many regions including business leads, content teams, marketing teams, social media teams, advertising, and external PR agencies.
- Provide strategic counsel to business partners.
- Ensure consistency of company-wide communication, share worldwide best practices, capitalize on opportunities globally and develop impactful regional media strategies.
- Keep current on trends, issues and news about both the business and consumer worlds of media and entertainment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant media in the region.
- Conduct proactive and reactive media relations.
- Work with external public relations agency on day to day matters.


A day in the life
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders from our local and global series and movies teams to establish and execute comms strategies for our most important show launches. As part of the German Prime Video Communications team, you will interact with internal teams as well as partners across production companies, and talents and their representatives to bring these strategies to life. You will co-manage Prime Video's agency network to secure operational excellence. You will collaborate with Amazon peers and counterparts across Europe and the world to leverage best-practice examples.


About the team
You will be part of the German Prime Video Communication Team, a local team delivering media, talent and industry relations, and awards campaigning for Prime Video in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Reporting into the local Head of Entertainment Communications, you will work as well on single-title communication campaigns, brand communication programs, and wider initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in professional communications or public relations
- Speak, write, and read fluently in German
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience in entertainment communications in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, including working with talent and managing processes such as press conferences, press junkets, and premiere events.
- Experience managing projects across international teams.
- Ability to navigate complex communication challenges across multiple stakeholders and regions.
- Goal-driven mentality with a preference to analyze and learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
