Atlassian Jira Engineer

Scope Group is looking for an experienced Jira Administrator with background in software development and business analysis to help capture and digitalize business processes from different departments, as well as integrate them with different data sources and reporting tools.

This role will shape and steer the function to deliver a world class Business Process Management with Jira, highly integrated with other systems, improving the BP efficiency, productivity, consistency and quality.

Duties & responsibilities

• Drive a security and compliance-focused approach to Jira and Confluence development, configuration, and operations.
• Lead project planning, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication, ensuring timely delivery of agreed objectives. Maintain and evolve existing Jira projects, workflows, automations, permissions, etc.
• Drive the successful migration of Jira and Confluence Data Center to Cloud through hands-on involvement in design, project execution, and operational transition.
• Work with cross-functional IT professionals to integrate Jira projects with different data sources and reporting tools/mechanisms, using different technologies.
• Continuously research and make use of Jira applications (add-ins/plug-ins), as well as other industry standard methods and technologies
• Lead the onboarding of new business departments to Jira, translating business requirements into automated workflows and scalable process solutions.
• Act as an interface between different divisions, groups, or departments, fostering seamless collaboration. Training and knowledge transfer to different business and technical stakeholders on different aspects of Jira projects and integrations.

Professional & personal qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science and equivalent professional experience
• Extensive hands-on experience with creating and managing Jira projects efficiently.
• Minimum 3-year experience working as a Software Developer or equivalent coding skills.
• Experience with Script Runner, Groovy, Rest APIs and Webhooks is mandatory.
• Experience with JSM, Jira Assets and CMDB.
• Experience with integrating External systems and Jira.
• Experience with Relation Databases, Microsoft Azure, AD, Entra ID and SharePoint is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to work with all levels of employees in an organization.
• Ability to meet deadlines, motivate others to do the same and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
• Willingness to take responsibility, learn new technologies with an entrepreneurial attitude
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality

Compensation Range:

The compensation range disclosed may encompass multiple title levels (Scope internal levels of seniority). Your actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to your individual experience, education, and seniority, and the final salary will be determined during the interview and evaluation process.
