Job Description
Position Purpose:
To improve asset reliability, availability, and lifecycle cost by applying reliability engineering principles, failure analysis, and data-driven maintenance strategies.
The role focuses on eliminating recurring failures, improving maintenance effectiveness, and embedding reliability into new equipment and capital projects
Key Responsibilities
1. Reliability & Loss Elimination
• Identify and prioritize equipment bad actors using CMMS and reliability KPIs.
• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for major and repetitive failures.
• Apply Zero Loss / Defect Elimination methodologies to reduce downtime and cost.
• Define and follow up corrective and preventive actions.
2. Data Analysis & Maintenance Strategy
• Analyze failure data, trends, and operating conditions impacting equipment performance.
• Improve and optimize PM/PdM strategies based on reliability findings.
• Ensure data quality in CMMS (failure modes, causes, actions).
• Track and report reliability performance (MTBF, MTTR, availability).
3. Capital Projects & Equipment Lifecycle
• Support capital projects to ensure reliability and maintainability are built into design.
• Participate in design reviews, commissioning, and handover to operations.
• Ensure critical spares, documentation, and maintenance strategies are defined.
4. Coaching & Collaboration
• Coach site teams on RCFA, reliability fundamentals, and proactive maintenance.
• Provide technical reliability support to Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering.
• Promote a structured, fact-based reliability culture.
5. Safety & Compliance
• Perform all duties in compliance with safety, food safety, quality, and legal requirements.
• Support investigations where equipment reliability impacts safety or quality.
Required Qualifications:
• Engineering degree or equivalent industrial experience.
• 3+ years in maintenance, reliability, or asset management roles.
• Strong experience with failure analysis and maintenance strategies.
• Proficient in CMMS (Maximo preferred).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to turn analysis into practical actions.
• Effective communicator and influencer.
• Structured, disciplined, and improvement-oriented mindset.
Languages:
• German (mandatory).
• Professional English.
