Alpine Business Consulting is a specialized team that fixes enterprise performance management and reporting systems. Often, companies invest in complex planning tools only to find that the implementation cut corners, leaving finance teams with numbers that do not match. We step in to configure these systems properly or build new ones from the start. Our consultants have spent years working with Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and modern analytics stacks. Currently, we are providing these services to a partner that is a Munich-based financial firm, helping them stabilize their reporting and ensure their internal data is reliable. This work is conducted by a fully remote team across multiple time zones.
The role As an Implementation Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day logistical and administrative needs of our consulting projects. This is an entry-level position designed for someone who is organized, clear-headed, and interested in how large-scale business systems actually work. You will spend your time assisting our senior consultants, ensuring that project documentation is precise and that the handover process for our clients is seamless. Since this is a fully remote role, you must be comfortable managing your own schedule and communicating through text and video calls.
We do not believe in using client engagements as a training ground for junior staff to experiment. Instead, you will be mentored by seniors who have seen every implementation mistake in the book. This role is about learning the right way to manage a project (with transparency and predictability) rather than just pushing for a deadline. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary for the current market.
What you will be doing - Organizing project schedules and ensuring that all participants are aligned on upcoming milestones.
- Assisting in the creation of configuration guides that clients can actually understand and use.
- Tracking the status of data cleanup tasks to ensure the single source of truth remains accurate.
- Managing the central project repository so that every piece of documentation is easy to find.
- Taking detailed notes during meetings with our Munich-based financial partner to capture technical requirements.
- Reviewing project logs to ensure that all agreed-upon changes have been implemented in the system.
- Supporting the final handover process by preparing training materials for client finance teams.
- Monitoring the project timeline to identify potential delays before they become problems.
What we are looking for - A strong sense of organization and an ability to keep track of many moving parts simultaneously.
- Clear, plain-spoken communication skills that avoid typical corporate fluff.
- A basic understanding of how spreadsheets and business software represent data.
- Willingness to learn the specific technical vocabulary of Oracle EPM and SAP BPC.
- The ability to work independently in a remote environment without constant supervision.
- Highly reliable attention to detail (errors in documentation lead to errors in the system).
- A proactive approach to identifying where a project plan might be falling behind.
- Ability to follow a fixed-price project scope and respect the boundaries of an engagement.
What common projects look like Most of our work at Alpine Business Consulting involves stepping into situations where a previous implementation failed. You might assist in a project where a cloud migration has stalled or where a dashboard provides conflicting numbers every morning. We focus on fixing the configuration and building a system that finance teams can trust. Our goal is always to provide a system that works reliably and then step back, ensuring the company has the training needed to remain independent. You will be a central part of making sure that transition happens smoothly by maintaining high standards for documentation and scheduling.
We value predictability. We provide fixed-price quotes wherever possible because we believe clients deserve to know what they are paying for. As a coordinator, you help uphold this promise by keeping the project within the agreed-upon scope and ensuring that every task is accounted for. This role is a direct path to understanding how high-level business consulting operates without the usual buzzwords or office politics found in larger firms.
