We are currently offering you a position as a

FPGA Developer (m/f/d)

in Munich

Your tasks with the team:

• Design develop and simulate FPGA modules ensuring functionality performance and reliability

• Implement FPGA firmware for in-house hardware designs following best practices for maintainability and scalability

• Contribute to the development of FPGA-based assemblies including component selection and evaluation schematic design and review and definition and validation of layout constraints

• Collaborate across disciplines (hardware software and system engineering) to integrate and validate assemblies and FPGA configurations

• Perform system-level testing debugging and optimization of FPGA designs and hardware platforms

• Ensure compliance with defined development processes covering module specification architecture design implementation verification integration and review

• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for developed modules interfaces and test procedures

• Support continuous improvement of design methodologies workflows and verification strategies

Job requirements

We would be delighted if you bring the following with you:

• Bachelors or Masters degree with 5 years of experience in FPGA design and programming

• Experience with Altera or Xilinx FPGA devices and related tools (Quartus or Vivado)

• Proficiency in VHDL

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and collaborative development workflows.

• Experience withsimulation tools such as ModelSim (or equivalent)

• Solid understanding of FPGA design flows including synthesis place & route timing closure and debugging

• Experience with debugging tools such as logic analyzers (e.g. SignalTap Chipscope/ILA)

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team

• Good communication skills and a structured process-oriented way of working

• Fluent English required
