Hauptaufgaben
• Conduct Complex Design Reviews: Evaluate electrical engineering plans, criteria, and distribution systems designed by external contractors or host nation agencies for large-scale, multi-million dollar military and industrial facilities.
• Bridge International Engineering Standards: Review, adapt, and develop electrical designs that simultaneously comply with both United States and foreign codes, standards, and equipment compatibility requirements.
• Coordinate Interdisciplinary Engineering: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, construction teams, military branches, and host nation representatives to resolve design conflicts and ensure all technical requirements are met.
• Manage Contract Modifications: Prepare and monitor technical modifications, design changes, and cost estimates for active construction contracts, bidding amendments, and major change orders.
• Enforce Energy and Efficiency Mandates: Analyze electrical system components to ensure operational economy, maintenance efficiency, and compliance with federal and defense energy conservation programs.
• Perform On-Site Investigations: Visit field construction sites to gather technical data, resolve engineering issues, and provide on-site technical interpretations of electrical designs.
• Conduct Local Engineering Research: Study European, particularly German, electrical codes, materials, and construction practices to maintain up-to-date expertise in local industry standards.
Qualifikationsanforderungen

MINIMUM: Bachelor's Degree or Diplom for an occupation specifically required for the position.
Applicants for positions in this series are required to have graduated as an engineer in the discipline specifically required for the position. Graduates must be fully recognized by German authorities to practice the engineering profession in Germany. Applicants from foreign countries must obtain an equivalent certification from applicable German authorities that certifies recognition to practice the engineering profession in the area of specialization required in the position. This requirement is based on Article 49 of the Supplementary Agreement to the NATO Status of Forces Agreement, which requires that principles of German building regulations and public construction rules be applied by the U.S. Forces in Germany.

• English Language Proficiency Level C1 and German Language Proficiency Level C1 required.
