About the role Alpine Business Consulting is a specialized team focused on fixing enterprise performance management systems that have failed to meet expectations. We often step in when a company has invested heavily in software only to find the implementation was messy, the data is unreliable, and the finance team is stuck with manual workarounds. Our partner is a Berlin-based firm currently refining their reporting structures, and we need a Project Administrator to help our consultants keep these projects moving forward accurately.
This is a permanent, full-time position that is entirely remote. As a Project Administrator, you are the person who ensures our documentation is current, our schedules are clear, and everyone on the team has the information they need to succeed. Since we prioritize transparency and fixed-price outcomes, your work in tracking project milestones is essential to keeping our promises to the client. You will learn how enterprise systems are built and managed by working directly alongside senior professionals who have years of experience in the field.
What you will do The core of this role is organization and accuracy. You will support the day-to-day administrative needs of our consulting team as they configure systems and build new reporting frameworks. Your tasks will focus on making sure the project moves toward a successful handover without losing track of important details.
- Maintain project schedules and update task lists to ensure every milestone is met on time.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of project documentation that client teams can actually use.
- Schedule internal and client meetings, preparing agendas and taking precise notes to record decisions.
- Coordinate the collection of data requirements and system specifications from various departments.
- Organize project files and shared folders to ensure a single source of truth for all records.
- Track budget usage and report on progress according to our fixed-price agreements.
- Support the quality control process by checking project deliverables for consistent formatting and clarity.
- Help prepare training and configuration guides that will eventually be handed over to the client.
What we are looking for This is an entry-level position where reliability and a methodical approach to work are more important than long years of experience. We are looking for someone who appreciates clear data and understands the value of thorough documentation.
- Basic familiarity with spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel for tracking and basic analysis.
- Strong writing skills with a focus on being clear, direct, and professional in all communications.
- High attention to detail, especially when reviewing documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Comfort working in a fully remote setup, which requires self-discipline and proactive communication.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple small tasks across different project phases.
- A background in business, administration, or a related field (this can include internships or studies).
- Willingness to learn the basics of performance management systems and project methodologies.
- Positive attitude toward organization and helping a team stay on track.
What the role offers Working at Alpine Business Consulting means joining a team that values real-world experience over corporate jargon. We offer a professional environment where you can build a solid foundation in project management and business consulting. This position is paid, and the compensation is competitive for the role and current market standards.
Because the role is fully remote, you have the flexibility to manage your work environment while still being an integral part of a professional team. We provide the tools and guidance necessary for you to succeed. You will gain exposure to complex system implementations and learn how to manage technical projects from start to finish. Our goal is to help you grow into a more senior administrative or consulting role as you become more familiar with our processes and the needs of our clients.
Every project at Alpine follows a predictable path. We finish what we start, and we do not leave clients with systems they cannot manage. By joining us as a Project Administrator, you help ensure that our handover process is clean and that the single source of truth we build for our clients remains reliable long after our engagement ends. We focus on configuration that works and documentation that survives the test of time.
