Specialist Finance Controller, Technology

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Specialist Finance Controller, Technology to join the Tech Controlling team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

At this role, you will help us manage multi-million dollar cloud costs on a global group level, and support tech, product, and finance teams in the group with financial processes like cost cross-charging and capitalization. You will be working inside the tech department, in a dynamic environment where you can greatly expand your existing skill set and work on a broad range of topics and projects.

Your mission:

• You will be part of our Tech Controlling team in the Tech & Product department where you will create financial transparency for all globally used cloud tools and services within the Company
• Work with teams around the world to establish a culture of cost accountability.
• Maintain and improve our processes for cost-splitting and chargebacks to our entities.
• Support procurement processes and help manage global tech contracts with third-party providers by developing cost scenarios, forecasts, and models.
• You will be working with our tech and finance teams to help automate controlling tasks and improve efficiency.
• Help all tech teams in our headquarter with capitalization of their development projects.
• Preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecast updates and monthly deviation analysis.
• Understand and analyse related trends (P&L, balance sheet, and non-financials KPIs)

Qualifications

Your heroic skills:

• +2 years of experience in IT cost controlling
• Demonstrated excellence in financial analysis and data model building; ability to turn data into insights and recommendations.
• Creation of ad hoc analyses, statistics, and deviation analyses
• Advanced Excel modeling & analytical skills
• Passionate about optimizing processes and cost, and helping other tech teams globally with their cost optimization efforts
• Pragmatic, proactive, and able to get things done
• Strong communication skills in English, willingness for continuous learning, and readiness to take on responsibility
• The ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment;
• Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams and with different hierarchical levels
• Nice to have: a good understanding of cloud pricing models, charging methods, and cloud billing and reporting.
