As a Consultant within our Operational Risk Management practice, you will develop your expertise while making a meaningful impact across a range of industries and operating environments.

Your Impact at dss+

You will contribute to high-impact client engagements, working closely with project teams and clients to strengthen Operational Risk Management capabilities and solve complex operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of consulting engagements across Operational Risk Management, safety, and operational improvement programmes

• Lead defined workstreams and contribute to the successful execution of client projects

• Analyse operational risks, management systems, and performance improvement opportunities

• Conduct interviews, site assessments, workshops, and data analysis activities

• Develop presentations, reports, and recommendations for client engagements

• Work directly with clients to support the implementation of practical risk management solutions

• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and contribute to capability-building initiatives

• Contribute to proposal development, solution design, and business development activities

Who You Are

You bring strong analytical thinking, a curious mindset, and the ability to work effectively in diverse, international environments. You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders, solving complex problems, and contributing to meaningful outcomes.

Experience

• Experience in management consulting or a relevant industrial environment

• Exposure to Operational Risk Management, safety, operational excellence, or organisational resilience initiatives

• Experience contributing to project teams or leading defined workstreams

• Experience within asset-intensive industries such as manufacturing, chemicals, energy, mining, infrastructure, or utilities is advantageous

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural environments

• Comfortable working directly with clients and stakeholders

• Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills

• Adaptable and able to thrive in fast-paced project environments

Education & Languages

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Risk Management, Operations Management, or a related field

• Fluency in English and German at C1 level

Mobility

• Willingness to travel across the DACH region and internationally as required
