Who we are

Xempus is the leading European group pension life and health insurance platform. We seamlessly connect insurers insurance agents corporates and their systems in an automated and customer-centric manner. Using standardized interfaces and structured data we operate the central infrastructure for all customer-centric processes and enable agentic AI across pension life and health insurance.

The role

Were building a new AI-powered product that automates insurance business processes end-to-end and were looking for a engineer to drive its technical direction. This is a new product pushing the limits in todays insurance world: youll make architectural calls where theres no playbook yet and set the technical bar for the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable maintainable backend services 10
  • Own features end-to-end across our stack from backend to the Vue 3 TypeScript frontend
  • Manage Kubernetes deployments and configuration using Helm charts
  • Raise the bar for the engineers around you through technical leadership code review and mentoring
  • Drive architectural decisions and technical planning; your judgment shapes how this product gets built
  • Establish quality controls across the stack: from automated testing to evaluating the correctness of LLM-driven results

What we are looking for

Technical Skills:
  • 10 years of professional software development experience with a track record of technical leadership on complex systems
  • Deep expertise in C# and 10 ecosystem knowledge in Temporal is a big plus
  • Proven ability to design and ship scalable solutions for complex high-stakes systems
  • Experience with Vue and modern frontend development patterns
  • Practical experience with Entity Framework Core and relational databases
  • Understanding of containerization concepts and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to pick up a new language or framework quickly: youre defined by engineering judgment not one toolset
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered features (prompting structured output evaluation)

Personal Skills:
  • Demonstrated problem-solving leadership: you run toward the hardest technical challenges not around them
  • Strong analytical skills to understand business requirements in the insurance domain and translate them into technical implementations
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating technical decisions to diverse stakeholders from engineers to C-level
  • Strong sense of ownership: you drive features from conception to production without waiting to be asked
