Alpine Business Consulting specializes in fixing enterprise performance management and reporting systems that have lost their way. Many organizations invest heavily in complex planning tools only to find that the initial implementation was rushed or poorly planned. This leaves finance teams struggling with data that does not match and month-end closes that take far too long to complete. We step in to reconfigure these systems or build new ones from the ground up, providing a single source of truth that companies can actually trust.
Currently, we are supporting a leading German industrial manufacturer with a major overhaul of their reporting architecture. We are looking for a Project Coordinator Intern to join this engagement full-time. This is a fully remote role, designed for someone who is organized, focused on clarity, and eager to see how complex consulting projects are managed from the inside.
About the role In this role, you will work closely with our senior consultants to ensure the project for our industrial manufacturing client remains on schedule and well-documented. You will not be expected to have years of experience in Oracle EPM or SAP BPC, but you will be expected to help keep the moving parts of the project in order. Since Alpine Business Consulting operates as a fully remote team, your ability to communicate clearly through written updates and digital workspaces is essential.
We avoid the fluff often found in large consulting firms. We do not believe in complex buzzwords or endless slides that say very little. Instead, we focus on configuration, clean data, and practical documentation. Your work will directly support these goals by ensuring that every decision made during a technical meeting is captured and every task in our project tracker is properly updated.
What you will do - Attend project meetings with the German industrial manufacturer to document technical requirements and action items.
- Update and maintain project schedules, ensuring that deadlines for data migration and system testing stay on track.
- Help prepare configuration guides and training manuals that will be used during the final handover to the client.
- Organize project files and data sets to ensure the consulting team has immediate access to the latest information.
- Assist in tracking the progress of month-end close simulations to confirm the new system is performing as expected.
- Communicate with internal team members to flag potential blockers or delays in the project timeline.
- Review project documentation for clarity and accuracy, removing jargon or unnecessary complexity.
What we are looking for - A current student or recent graduate in Business, Project Management, IT, or a related field.
- Strong organizational habits and the ability to manage multiple small tasks without losing focus.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and standard office software for tracking and reporting purposes.
- A direct and clear communication style, both in writing and in virtual meetings.
- Reliability and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Curiosity about how large-scale financial systems are built and maintained.
- Careful attention to volume and detail when handling project documentation and data logs.
What the role offers This is a full-time, paid internship with a focus on real-world experience. The pay is attractive and competitive for an internship role in the current market. You will work directly with consultants who have spent years in the field, giving you a chance to learn how systems are actually fixed rather than just hearing about the theory behind them. Because we are a remote company, you will have the flexibility to work from your own professional setup while still being an integral part of the team.
How we work At Alpine Business Consulting, we value transparency and predictability. We provide fixed-price quotes and emphasize handover documentation that the client can actually use after we are gone. We do not use client engagements to train junior staff on the client's dime (our seniors do the heavy technical lifting) but we do believe in bringing in an intern to help us keep our projects organized and efficient. We work hard to ensure that when we finish a project, the company is independent and the finance team can trust their numbers every morning.
