Hauptaufgaben
Plans, prepares, cooks, seasons, and portions foodstuffs for major meals, involving the full range of quantity cooking procedures from frequently used to new or complex recipes. Meals involve the preparation and cooking of a full variety of meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, soups, stews, broths, sauces and gravies; also included are meals requiring long preparation time such as those using spaghetti sauces, sweet and sour pork, and similar items. Plans meals so that all items to be served are completed at the same time without waste or overcooking. Computes amounts of ingredients to adjust recipes to meet patron requirements. Cuts, bones, and otherwise prepares meats, poultry and fish for cooking. Portions food for individuals servings. Interprets menus, recipes, schedules in preparing major meals, special meals, and party fare.
Sets up and serves foods on cafeteria lines, and portions food for individual servings on trays in accordance with regular or modified diets as indicated by instructions. Loads containers for food carts. Stores leftovers in accordance with sanitation standards.
Cleans and maintains in a sanitary condition equipment and work areas, sweeping and mopping floors, washing utensils, tables and refrigerators, and cleaning ovens and ranges.
Oversees and guides lower level cooks and instructs any helpers and food service workers assigned in the simpler cooking activities, preparation of vegetables and fruits for cooking or raw use, and in cleaning equipment and work areas.
Qualifikationsanforderungen

Completed vocational training in the appropriate trade
ODER
5 years of specialized experience
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency level A1 required.

• This is a temporary full-time position (39.0hrs /week) not to exceed 1 year, upon appointment.
• Working on weekends and holidays as well as shift work (2 shifts) required.
• Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
