Global Coil Radiation Cure Manager

Our client is a sustainable and people centric multinational company, global leader in the chemical sector, who is now looking for a Global Coil Radiation Manager.

This is a highly strategical role, mainly aimed to create the competency centre and lead a team to meet the Coil EB/UV vision, being key technical responsible for leading the EB program, within the company.

The key activities for this role are:

• Take ownership of the "Coil Ebeam" domain, overseeing all activities related to the development of new Coil Coating products.
• Establish and lead a team dedicated to the creation of the "Coil Ebeam" department.
• Act as the main contact person for the Steering Committee, facilitating the exchange on development strategy, reporting on status and progress, and clarifying needed resources/support.
• Build and deepen an understanding of the scientific principles of Radcure to support regional R&D teams in managing associated projects.
• Utilize advanced data analysis for formulation and troubleshooting in coating development.
• Assume technical IP responsibility for Coil activities, overseeing patent review and creation.
• Develop a comprehensive network of upstream and downstream stakeholders.
• Take responsibility for the laboratory and facilities, ensuring improvements in accordance with QHSE standards.

People Management

• Provide disciplinary and professional leadership to employees in alignment with leadership principles.
• Develop and coach employees to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Ensure the team possesses the competencies and resources for the effective implementation of projects.
• Collaborate with the HR Business Partner in making personnel decisions.

The role Requirements

• Completed degree in the field of (coating) chemistry, preferably a PhD or Master's, or a comparable qualification.
• Extensive and well-founded professional experience, preferably in the coil-coating industry.
• Comprehensive and specialized knowledge in electron beam and UV curing of coatings.
• Extensive experience in product development and project management, including participation in technology conversion programs.
• Several years of experience in personnel management, with the ability to inspire and motivate the team.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and hierarchies.
• Fluent English skills are mandatory; German language skills are advantageous.
