Director Business Development - Technology (m/f/d)

About the Role

As a Business Development Director – Technology, you will accelerate the growth of our Contract Logistics business across our European markets.

This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new contract logistics opportunities within the Technology sector, while expanding strategic relationships with existing customers. Working closely with technology manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and supply chain leaders, they will help customers solve complex logistics challenges through warehousing, distribution, transportation, inventory management, fulfilment, value-added services, and integrated supply chain solutions.

The Business Development Director will lead strategic sales opportunities from initial customer engagement through solution design, commercial negotiations, and contract award. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of contract logistics operations, customer supply chains, and the ability to align DP World's capabilities with customer growth objectives.

This position plays a key role in expanding DP World's Contract Logistics footprint and strengthening our position as a trusted supply chain partner for Technology customers.

How You Will Contribute

• Develop and execute a business development strategy to grow DP World's Contract Logistics business within the Technology vertical.
• Generate new business opportunities by identifying customers seeking warehouse outsourcing, distribution solutions, fulfilment services, transportation management, and broader supply chain support.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across supply chain, logistics, procurement, operations, and executive leadership teams.
• Lead the end-to-end sales process, including opportunity qualification, solution development, pricing strategy, RFQ and tender responses, contract negotiations, and deal closure.
• Partner with operations, engineering, solution design, finance, and other internal teams to develop scalable and commercially competitive contract logistics solutions.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and deliver sustainable revenue growth aligned with business objectives.
• Retain and grow strategic customer relationships by identifying opportunities to expand services, locations, and supply chain solutions across existing accounts.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding market trends, supply chain challenges, and business priorities within the Technology sector.

What You Will Bring

• Proven business development or commercial leadership experience within Contract Logistics, Supply Chain Solutions, or Integrated Logistics services.
• Established network and track record of developing business within the Technology sector, with the ability to generate opportunities through existing customer relationships and industry connections.
• Demonstrated success winning and growing large-scale logistics outsourcing opportunities and achieving commercial growth targets.
• Experience leading complex logistics tenders, RFQs, solution design processes, and contract negotiations involving multiple internal stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of contract logistics operations, including warehousing, fulfilment, transportation, inventory management, and value-added logistics services.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional fluency in English and willingness to travel across Europe as business needs require.
