ResponsibilitiesThis critical position supports the development of Keysight’s next-generation electronic and photonic test and measurement solutions. As a PCB Designer, you will be responsible for creating complex printed circuit board layouts throughout all phases of the product development process. Working closely with hardware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineers, you will translate electrical requirements into manufacturable, high-quality PCB designs.
You will apply your PCB design expertise to component placement, routing, design rule implementation, documentation, and collaboration with fabrication and assembly partners. This is an opportunity to contribute to some of the world's most advanced electronic products while continuously expanding your technical skills and layout capabilities. While working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will also independently manage your own priorities and deliverables. QualificationsRequired:
- Completed vocational training in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Technical Product Design, or a related technical field; additional qualification as a State-Certified Technician or bachelor in a related technical field is a plusMinimum of 3 years of experience in PCB design and layout developmentExperience with professional PCB design tools and ECAD environmentsUnderstanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes, including design for manufacturability (DFM) considerationsAbility to work in a fast-paced product development environment while balancing technical requirements, project schedules, and manufacturabilityStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailGood written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
Preferred:
- Experience with high-speed digital, RF, microwave, and/or photonic product designsFamiliarity with PCB technologies such as controlled impedance, multilayer boards, HDI, flex-rigid circuits, and advanced packaging conceptsExperience with Siemens Xpedition (e.g. version )Experience working with ECAD-MCAD collaboration workflowsGerman language skills
