WEBSHOP ARCHITECT & SENIOR PHP Symfony Developer (m / f / d)

Do you love taking a leading role in an epic eCommerce system, shaping the webshop's system landscape in a holistic and pioneering way and working with other experienced developers and IT teams? As a Senior PHP Developer, you will actively and agilely implement smaller and larger features as well as central strategy projects in our store development team. As a store architect, you will also shape the future of our sales platform so that we not only defend our position as Europe's market leader, but also expand it!

These are your tasks

Responsibility for the conception and development of a future-proof and scalable architecture for our online shop

Definition and implementation of modern development standards and best practices for a modular, maintainable code base

Analysis of existing system components and refactoring towards a service-oriented architecture (e.g. microservices, APIs, headless)

Close collaboration with front-end development, DevOps and UX design to optimize the entire store platform

Technical advice to the product owner on strategic architecture decisions

Hands-on mentality and co-development on software projects

Ensuring code quality and deployment processes

Regular project exchange with the team

This is what you bring

At least 10 years of experience in professional PHP development, including several years with Symfony

In-depth experience as a software architect in the e-commerce environment, ideally with store platforms such as Shopware, Symfony-based in-house developments or headless commerce solutions

Very good knowledge of object-oriented development, scalable system architectures, clean code, domain-driven design, event sourcing and API design

Structured, reliable and solution-oriented way of working

Quick comprehension and strong communication skills

Enjoy teamwork, agility and innovation
