IT Administrator (Workplace) (m/f/d) - System Engineering / Admin, Ingenieur
LOCATION : Bremen
THE ROLE :
IT Workplace Administrators (m / f / d) maintain endpoints like thin clients, laptops, mobiles, and another periphery. They are also responsible for platforms for client virtualization.
IT Workplace Administrators (m / f / d) provide 2nd level advanced support and work on ticket queues as well as on projects.
Their responsibility is also to keep the systems secure and compliant over the whole system lifecycle.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Administration of Windows, Linux, iOS and IGEL OS
- Endpoint management with IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS) and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) incl. client deployment
- Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
- Administration of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365 (Cloud-PC) and VMware VDIs
- Evaluation of new concepts in the field of IT workplace
- License administration for endpoints
- Ensuring IT security and compliance for the IGEL workplaces
- Administration of antivirus solution
- International 2nd level user support and consulting of own employees
- Technical research
- Administration of the cloud telephony solution
- Implementation of IT projects
- Documentation of the IT infrastructure
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- IT administrator or relevant work experience with qualified technical training
- Minimum of six to nine years related experience
- Sound knowledge of endpoint administration on Windows, Linux, iOS and IGEL OS via IGEL UMS
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies like Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, WMware or Citrix
Knowledge of system management with Microsoft Endpoint manager and client deployments
Experience in operating hybrid Active Directory / Azure Active Directory environments
- Highly skilled with extensive proficiency. Works on complex projects
- Works under minimal supervision. Wide latitude for independent judgment
- May assist less-experienced peers
- Willingness to learn about other IT topics as needed
- Good command of written and spoken English
