Aufgaben

Your mission

You are the person who owns customer success hands-on in the delivery and manages every process step E2E in the value creation: you lead the development projects, you are the face to the customer, and you understand the use cases deeply to drive the solution yourself and implement it with the researchers at the customers.

You like solving problems and selling through substance. You build the delivery function, not only the projects why this role is more than a project manager working as forward deployed engineer. You deliver, learn, iterate and improve what a Proof of Value has to look like to convert, what a model needs before a Champion sells it internally, which strategic delivery partners get us to customers we cannot reach alone, and who we hire for delivery next.

This is a role you shape, build and lead not inherit. You will be executing on eye level with the founders and build the department. Customer projects are live at manufacturing companies, with real data, real models, and results their management teams are working with. You take those over from the founders and take them forward, which is also why the role is cut this broadly.

We will not sugarcoat it: short deadlines, big workload, and new steps in the process no one has every done before. You will find out how to solve the value creation process best.

What you'll own

• The customer from the first calls on: take apart their decision problem live, pre-sales, and turn it into a first mini model.
• Scope and lead the development project end-to-end; own the result, not just the planning and organisation.
• The solution itself: you decide with the modellers how the use cases should be built. Large, real, decision-grade models on the customer's data and knowledge.
• Translating messy industrial reality, capacity, capital, lead times, delivery reliability, throughput into a clean optimization problem, and the result back into a decision the customer can act on. That means analysing the data yourself, presenting the outcome to the customer's management. They bring the mathematical depth, you make sure it is pointed at the right problem and executed in the right direction.
• The delivered result, commercially. Cold outbound is not your job, but a Proof of Value converts into a paid onboarding pilot because what you built holds up, and a pilot becomes an enterprise contract for the same reason. Where Dana opens the door, you carry the substance, help close, and then sustain value longterm.
• The delivery playbook, what we make repeatable and where we keep delivering individually and who joins next by your side.

Your number: Proof of Value to paid conversion, time from kickoff to the first result the customer trusts, and revenue in your portfolio. We are hiring an extra person on the product next to the engineers in parallel. That role owns the product and what we generalise from customer projects. This role owns the customers success and the commercial outcome by creating sustainable long-term value by delivery the right things.

How we work: We would rather have overlap between the lead in product and you in the delivery than unnecessary handovers. At our size every coordination meeting is a customer delivery that did not happen. Where two of us could run the same customer success through product and delivery, we split it by fit or by workload and move on.

Profil

Profile

A technical analytical foundation by education: engineering, computer scientist, data engineering, logistics and supply chain, finance with operations research or similar. You sell and deliver at eye level with engineers, heads of operations and controlling, in the COO office, and you have to convince the IT director who wants to know what happens to their data.
• Strong in data: you work with real, messy ERP and Excel exports, and you notice when numbers cannot be right before the customer does.
• Strong in structuring problems: you have translated a fuzzy business question into a quantitative model yourself, from objective and levers down to the data you needed.
• 5+ years in industry or consulting with demonstrable ownership of results. Ideal profile: technical consulting. If you come from that world and already had modelling, data work and customer leadership in one person, you will find almost all of it here again, without the layer above you that makes the call.
• You have run several projects in parallel, and the more there are, the more obsessed you get with efficiency. Here it starts with a few accounts that go deep; as we grow it becomes more, and then it rests on your structure.
• You like humans and selling by thinking around the corner how we create value and qualify stakeholders from more than one angle. You can run calls yourself, scope the problem on the spot, and win a customer into a pilot.
• You read a P&L, talk OEE and inventory versus service level with a plant manager, and keep the customer delighted while you deliver.
• Our customers sit across the DACH region and the decisive conversations happen on site even though most of the work with customers is online. You can expect travel, not every week, but on a regular basis.
• German C1 or higher, fluent in English.
• NRW-based (Cologne office), optionally Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin area or else willing to work hybrid. Open to find a way if we fit.

You are VERY structured and hyper biased for action, and you have shown you play to win wherever life has put you so far.

This role is not for you if you understand delivery as project administration, if you need a team to be deliverable, if you would rather advise than be accountable for whether the system works, or if you need more than three days before your first customer conversation.

Process: Intro call with Dana, second call with one from the team, a 60 to 90-minute live case exercise with pre-read material and prep for taking it home, then team conversations online and in person.
