Every year 26 billion worth of perfectly usable chemical raw materials are getting destroyed generating millions of tonnes of avoidable CO₂ emissions and hazardous waste not because they lack value but because no system exists to capture it. InCycling is changing that. We are building a cloud-native AI-driven B2B platform with deep SAP integration automated regulatory compliance workflows and ML-based supply-vs-demand matching for scalable surplus chemical management. We are live with a couple of global DAX-tier enterprise pilots across 10 production sites in 10 countries and 3 continents with over 600 tonnes of surplus chemicals already in our deal pipeline. You would be joining at the moment where the foundation you build will define how the platform scales.

The role

Youll be the driving force behind our revenue channel at InCycling: surplus material in the pharmaceutical and chemical space sold globally generating significant revenues. Reporting directly to one of our founders youll own this from lead to delivery finding the opportunities building the relationships closing the deals and making sure whats agreed actually ships on time and in full. You keep the process tight and the tracking diligent and you improve both as you go.

Every deal you run is a live test of our AI capabilities and the feedback and insights you provide to our development team is an essential piece of the work not an extra. If you want your sales expertise to shape how AI models are actually built this is that role.

This is a role for the person who runs the deals closes them and stays with the customer until the material has shipped and they come back for the next one. Youll work from our central Erfurt office in a hybrid model. The job holder travels frequently to meet customers partners and industry contacts in person and participate in trade exhibitions.

Tasks

What youll do

• Generate new surplus material sales leads and build a healthy sustainable pipeline
• Establish and maintain relationships with traders brokers and end customers across global markets
• Negotiate buying and selling conditions directly with senior counterparts not just negotiating terms but sensing how far a deal can flex while still getting it done
• Drive the sales process yourself: calls emails follow-up and diligent tracking of every interaction in HubSpot
• You will be an active part of the AI automation workstream of our InCycling platform putting our tools to work in real deals and collaboration with the tech team for continuous improvement
• Make sure deliveries are planned and executed on time and in full globally
• Own the post-sale relationship and make it sustainable resolving issues fast and converting first purchases into long-term repeat business.
• Feed the information you gather back to our development teams and into our systems including our agentic tools to help us continuously sharpen how we sell
• Represent InCycling at trade exhibitions and industry events and help plan our participation
• Bring intercultural business acumen to the table particularly across India China and other Asian markets the Middle East North Africa and Western Europe/US
• Co-create and continuously improve our sales business development and sales operations processes

Requirements

What were looking for

• A university degree and at least 8 years of business experience of which 6 years shall be in a comparable sales business development or sales operations role in the chemical industry
• A genuine sales instinct strong customer acquisition relationship management and negotiation skills ideally in commodities chemicals or trading
• Comfort negotiating with senior stakeholders and closing agreements that work for both sides
• A basic understanding of chemistry pharma and supply chain fundamentals
• Proven intercultural business experience especially across Asia MENA and Western markets
• Fluent business English an absolute must; German or another language is a plus
• Willingness to travel (up to 15 %) and genuine energy from meeting new people and expanding your network
• A self-motivated reliable and trustworthy personality in our streak of business trust reliability and compliance are absolutely essential
• Someone who wants to build something and grow with it not just move on to the next role
• Someone who gets satisfaction out of a deal that lands and a customer who comes back
• A people oriented person enjoying working with a cutting edge tech stack

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM
• Prior experience improving a sales operation from the inside as the person exectuing the selling
• An existing network among surplus off-spec or by-product chemical traders and brokers
