As Head of Financial Operations (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the functional and disciplinary leadership of our Financial Operations team. Together with your team, you will oversee the operational financial processes related to invoice processing for our various energy products and services. You will ensure that incoming and outgoing invoices are processed efficiently, accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable regulations. At the same time, you will continuously develop our Finance Operations function by driving standardization, digitalization, and process optimization initiatives.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, develop, and manage the Financial Operations team from both a functional and people management perspective.
\n
• Oversee and strategically ensure the smooth and scalable execution of daily operations, taking responsibility for the data-driven, timely, accurate, and end-to-end processing of financial transactions.
\n
• Manage accounts receivable activities, including collections, dunning processes, and the monitoring of outstanding receivables.
\n
• Act as a key interface between Trading, Commercial, Treasury, Finance, other internal stakeholders, and external customers.
\n
• Initiate and implement process improvements while promoting standardization and automation across Finance Operations.
\n
• Support the further development of ERP systems and reporting solutions.
\n
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
\n

YOUR PROFILE

\n

\n
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
\n
• Several years of professional experience in Finance Operations, Accounting, or Financial Accounting.
\n
• 3–5 years of experience leading and developing teams.
\n
• Solid knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
\n
• Strong analytical skills combined with a structured and solution-oriented approach to work.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different business functions.
\n
• A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
\n
• Fluent in English, with a good command of German, both written and spoken.
\n

FURTHER KNOWLEDGE

\n

\n
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally JD Edwards (JDE), as well as reporting tools such as Power BI.
\n
• Knowledge of process management and continuous improvement methodologies.
\n
• Understanding of internal control systems and compliance requirements.
\n
• Project management experience is an advantage.
\n
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
\n
