Country Manager – Germany | Animal Nutrition Location: Home-based in Germany, with regular national travel Employment type: Full-time Animalis Talent Solutions is partnering with an established international animal nutrition business to appoint a Country Manager for Germany . Germany is a priority growth market for the organisation. This individual will be responsible for building the commercial strategy, developing the customer base and establishing a dedicated local team. This is not a role focused solely on managing an existing operation. It is a strategic and hands-on opportunity for someone who is motivated by developing a market, opening new customer relationships and building a sustainable business. The role The Country Manager will: Create and deliver the commercial growth strategy for Germany. Segment the market and identify the customer groups, applications and routes to market offering the strongest potential. Build a commercial pipeline across: Compound feed manufacturers Industrial fermentation businesses Large livestock farms and farming enterprises Develop differentiated value propositions for each priority customer segment. Personally lead new-business development, customer meetings, proposals, trials and commercial negotiations. Build profitable, long-term customer relationships through a consultative and value-led approach. Determine the appropriate balance between direct sales, strategic accounts, distribution and commercial partnerships. Recruit, lead and develop a German commercial and technical team. Take ownership of country plans, budgets, forecasts, revenue, margin and market penetration. Provide market intelligence and contribute to decisions around investment, resources and portfolio development. The position combines strategic country-level responsibility with direct involvement in customer acquisition and market development. About you We are interested in speaking with candidates who bring: Commercial experience within animal nutrition, feed ingredients, compound feed or other sales markets within the ruminant market eg genetics, automatic milking etc. Strong knowledge of the German animal feed market. Experience developing a market, territory, product portfolio or new commercial channel. A track record of winning new business and building long-term customer relationships. Experience selling technical or commercially complex solutions through a consultative approach. Strong capability across pricing, negotiation, forecasting, margin and pipeline management. Experience recruiting, developing or leading commercial teams. The credibility to engage with farmers, nutritionists, procurement teams, technical leaders and senior decision-makers. Fluent German and strong professional English. A full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Germany.
