As a System Administrator (m/f/d), you administer systems with a strong focus on security and take a holistic approach, from network design to selecting the right tools. IT security is an integral part of your mindset, including concepts such as Zero Trust, network segmentation, and SIEM. We are currently building our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and preparing for ISO/IEC 27001 certification. This means that systems are not only operated but are also assessed based on risk and documented in a transparent and traceable manner. Experience with ISO 27001 is an advantage but not a requirement. However, a willingness to think and work within this framework is essential.

Your mission

• Planning and implementation of IT projects, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and networking
• Operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the existing IT environment
• Ensuring IT security, including vulnerability and risk management (e.g., IAM, network segmentation, incident response)
• Identifying and implementing automation opportunities within daily operations
• Providing support in day-to-day IT operations (endpoint management, employee lifecycle processes, user support)
• Technical consulting and support for business departments and international locations

Your profile

• Several years of experience in IT systems administration and the implementation of IT projects
• Very good knowledge of hybrid Microsoft 365 environments (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Office Suite)
• Solid experience with Microsoft Windows Server and client systems, as well as hyperconverged virtualization platforms (Hyper-V)
• Good knowledge of network architecture, modern networking technologies, storage solutions (on-premises and cloud), as well as backup and recovery management
• Basic knowledge of VoIP PBX systems, Linux including Docker, and application administration
• Independent, efficient, and structured way of working, combined with excellent communication skills
• Understanding of risk-based decision-making, with the ability to balance and justify technical decisions against security requirements, operational feasibility, and cost-efficiency
• Knowledge of information security management and initial exposure to ISO/IEC 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, or similar frameworks is desirable but not required
• Ability to document complex technical matters in a clear and traceable way, from operational documentation to configuration and change records that stand up to audit requirements
• Fluent German language skills (C1 level) and very good English language skills (B2 level)
