Data Analyst - Intern

We are adding a Data Analyst - Intern to our team to help with a specific project for our partner, a Berlin-based company that needs to clean up its operational data. This role is not about tracking marketing clicks or social media engagement. Instead, you will be working on the practical data that keeps a business running, such as inventory logs, order histories, and customer records. You will help us move this information out of messy spreadsheets and into structured databases that are easier for the client to manage.

The role
In this internship, you will spend your time looking at how data flows through a business. Your main task will be helping us organize and clean legacy data so it can be imported into new systems. You will be working with Postgres databases and writing queries to find inconsistencies or errors. This is a fully remote position, so you will be responsible for managing your own schedule and communicating clearly with the rest of the team through written updates and video check-ins. You will also help create basic reports and dashboards that help our clients understand their own operations better. It is a great opportunity to see how data structures affect the software people use every day.

What we are looking for

• A basic understanding of how relational databases work.
• Comfortable working with large spreadsheets and using functions to organize information.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, including how to write simple select statements and joins.

Helpful background

• Experience with Google Sheets or Excel beyond basic data entry.

• Previous experience working or studying in a remote environment.
