Gulf Associates is looking for a Reporting Analyst Assistant to support our advisory work. We are currently assisting a Berlin-based technology firm as they expand, which requires careful tracking of market trends and commercial data. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from your own environment while staying closely connected to our senior partners. You will help our team organize research and prepare the reports that our clients use to make high-stakes investment decisions.

What you will do

  • Track key data points related to market behavior and counterparty actions to ensure our advice is based on current facts.
  • Update internal databases and spreadsheets with fresh research findings from the territory.
  • Draft initial sections of briefing documents and status reports for partners to review before client meetings.
  • Verify the accuracy of figures, dates, and names in our commercial reports to maintain high standards of precision.
  • Assist in creating short summaries of regulatory changes or news that might affect the expanding tech firm.
  • Prepare simple charts and data visualizations that help clarify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Participate in team calls to record detailed minutes and track follow-up tasks for the senior team.
  • Organize digital research materials so that evidence for our positions is easy to retrieve during negotiations.

What you bring

  • A university degree or current enrollment in a relevant field like business, economics, or social sciences.
  • Strong skills in written English, with a focus on being concise and avoiding unnecessary jargon.
  • Basic proficiency in spreadsheet tools like Excel for organizing and filtering data sets.
  • A logical approach to checking your own work for errors and inconsistencies.
  • Commercial curiosity regarding how deals are structured and how companies navigate new markets.
  • The ability to work independently in a fully remote setting while meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Comfort asking questions to clarify complex instructions when a task is unfamiliar.
  • Discretion and a professional attitude when handling sensitive information related to sovereign entities and private deals.
