What you will be doing
In this role, you will work closely with our plants, technical teams and leadership across Europe to drive standardization, performance improvement and operational excellence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining fabrication standards across Hydro’s European operations, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency and reliability.
- Monitoring and improving key manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, uptime, asset utilization, productivity, scrap and quality.
- Leading and coordinating cross-functional improvement projects across multiple sites.
- Identifying and sharing best practices and supporting the harmonization of fabrication processes across the European network.
- Working closely with plant leadership and technical stakeholders, providing expertise, support and constructive challenge.
- Promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement to strengthen technical capabilities across our sites.
- Supporting compliance with Hydro’s Quality System, HSE requirements, company policies and relevant customer and regulatory requirements.
- Contributing to improvements in quality, safety, sustainability and overall operational performance.
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in fabrication of structural components, including processes such as cutting, milling, assembly, fastening, bending, punching and welding/joining.
- Experience with aluminium extrusion manufacturing is a strong advantage.
- Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen or Operational Excellence.
- Proven experience working with and improving manufacturing KPIs, particularly OEE, uptime and utilization.
- Experience participating in or leading cross-functional improvement projects across multiple sites or regions.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
- An understanding of aluminium extrusion processes and manufacturing requirements is a plus.
