At Large Space Structures GmbH (LSS), we believe that innovation in space technology paves the way for a more connected, secure, and sustainable future. Since its foundation in 2012, our company has grown into a trusted European partner for deployable antennas and multifunctional structures designed for the challenges of space.
Our mission is to make space more accessible and to help our customers to overcome the limitations of a restricted launch volume at the very beginning of each mission. By combining lightweight, compact, and precise deployable systems, we enable both small satellites to achieve big goals and large reflector systems to unlock entirely new possibilities. From advancing global communication to supporting Earth observation and scientific discovery, our technologies help shape the foundations of tomorrow’s space applications.
What drives us is more than engineering excellence – it is the vision of European sovereignty in space technology. Once available only overseas, our solutions now provide European institutions, industries, and partners with independent access to critical satellite infrastructure.
We are proud to contribute to flagship European missions, such as the COPERNICUS Imaging Radiometer (CIMR), and to pioneer next-generation deployable antenna concepts that will empower both civil and security-related applications.
With ISO 9001 certification and a dedicated team of specialists and pioneers, we ensure the highest quality in every stage of our work — from research and design to deployment in orbit.
Guided by innovation, protected by exclusive patents, and strengthened by Europe’s growing ambitions in space, LSS continues to expand its role as a key enabler of Europe’s future in space.
