Working Student – Calibration & Image Processing (m|f|d)

Job Description

We are developing a next-generation automated fluorescence microscopy platform for life science applications, combining advanced optical design with integrated sample handling and multi-channel imaging capabilities. As production ramps up ahead of market launch, we are looking for support in evaluating calibration data generated for each instrument before shipment.

This is a hands-on opportunity to join a dynamic, cross-functional team working at the intersection of hardware, software, and science during an exciting phase of product commercialization.

Your Responsibilities

• Run and verify optical calibration evaluations for instruments in production
• Ensure calibration results meet established quality standards
• Monitor calibration quality across multiple instruments
• Analyze trends and report findings related to calibration performance
• Support continuous improvement of calibration evaluation workflows

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Comfortable working with Python
• Ability to interpret scientific results and data
• Careful, reliable, and curious approach to problem-solving
• Experience in image processing or scientific computing is a plus
• Fluent in German and/or English.

Additional Information

• Your workplace is our office in Göttingen.
• You will support us for up to 20 hours per week.
