Hauptaufgaben

•Software as a Service (SaaS) Administration & Customization: Administering and developing the Salesforce-based NIS platform through configuration, declarative solutions, coded customization, and UI enhancements to meet organizational requirements.
•Data Integration & CI/CD Pipelines: Implementing enterprise-level integrations (e.g., MuleSoft) and maintaining Development Operations (DevOps), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery/ Deployment (CD) pipelines to build, test, and release system changes.
•Troubleshooting & Technical Documentation: Resolving complex platform issues (custom code, performance) and validating technical changes while maintaining robust system documentation.
•Security Model Design & Access Control: Designing and maintaining the system security architecture, including user roles, profiles, permissions, and sharing rules.
•Compliance Auditing & Risk Assessments: Conducting regular security audits to ensure compliance with NATO directives, monitoring the platform, and evaluating secure third-party integrations.
•Training, Mentoring & Multi-Tier Support: Delivering institution-wide training programs, providing Tier 2/3 technical support, and mentoring junior administrators and contractors.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifikationsanforderungen

C1-2210-06:
MINIMUM: The completed apprenticeship (E&T Level III ) must be in the Computer Science occupation (Informatikkaufmann/frau) or in another area that is directly related to the position to be filled; PLUS 2 years of job related experience as defined below.

Job Related Experience:

Any work experience that involves the technical planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and management of Internet, intranet, and extranet activities, including systems/applications development and technical management of Web sites. Includes experience in determining overall technical design and structure of internet services; monitoring functionality, security, and integrity of Internet services, and troubleshooting and resolving technical problems with the design and delivery of Internet services.

AND/OR

Any work experience that involves the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing application software. Includes experience in analyzing and refining systems requirements; planning and designing systems architecture; determining output media/formats; designing user interfaces; working with customers to test applications; integrating hardware and software components.

•This position is a Nonappropriated Fund Position.
Position may be filled at the C-06, C-6A, C-07 or at the full performance level C-7A. Incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher or full performance level in accordance with regulatory requirements, upon completion of required training, and recommendation of supervisor.
•Must be a citizen of a NATO member state and must be able to establish residency with permission to work in Germany before or within the probationary period. As proof a current German residence permit must be presented. The failure to present a working permit will lead to the termination of employment during the probationary period or any time thereafter, when there is doubt that a working permit may be granted by the German authorities.
•Must present either a valid Police Good Conduct Certificate from the local resident registration office or a valid NATO and/or National Security clearance on initial appointment or reappointment after a break in service of a period longer than 6 months. Costs for the certificates are not reimbursable.
•Must be able to obtain and maintain a NATO Secret security clearance.
•Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evenings.
•Regular & Recurring telework possible.
•Occasionally temporary duty travel (TDY) required.
•Office automation skills required.
•English level C1 required according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
