The Berlin Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (a public-law corporation) is seeking, for its Information Technology Department (IIS), to fill a full-time (part-time possible) permanent position as soon as possible:
IT Security Engineer (f/m/d)
The use of IT also entails risks. As an IT Security Engineer, you are familiar with appropriate approaches and measures to identify and minimize these risks. In doing so, you will not only consider the security of individual components but also contribute to the secure further development of our entire IT architecture. You will play a central technical role in the IT department and help shape the planning, implementation, and further development of technical IT security measures within the specified security standards and framework conditions.
Your Responsibilities
- Helping to shape and operationally implement IT security at KV Berlin
- Supporting the IT departments in securing new and existing IT components and applications
- Participating in the selection and implementation of new security technologies and processes, as well as collaborating on challenging IT security projects
- Planning, conducting, and following up on security reviews and audits (e.g., penetration tests, technical IT security audits, code analyses)
- Advising and raising awareness among employees regarding the secure use of the IT infrastructure
Your Profile
- Solid IT knowledge gained through a college degree, e.g., in computer science or information technology, or equivalent skills and experience based on relevant IT training and corresponding professional experience
- Professional experience in operational IT security management and a strong analytical, service-oriented, and proactive approach to work
- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of key infrastructure and security areas such as operating systems (Windows/Linux), network and communications security, cloud application security, and security monitoring/detection (SOC, SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS)
- Experience in IT security/information security management according to common standards/methodologies such as ISO 27001 or BSI Basic Protection
- Experience conducting technical security tests, e.g., penetration testing, vulnerability management, IT/live forensics, SIEM, or firewalling/IPS
- Strong security awareness and risk-oriented mindset
