About FutureLog
FutureLog is a leading Procure-to-Pay platform for the hospitality industry, helping international hotel groups and hospitality organizations simplify procurement, invoice automation, and supplier collaboration.
Job Purpose
The Head of AI-enabled Engineering leads FutureLog's Engineering organization — roughly 6 teams and 30 people, drawn from a mix of in-house and partner engineering talent across Core Services, Applications, Integrations, Platform & Infrastructure, Data Engineering, and Data & AI.
This is a rare opportunity to lead both a strong engineering organization and the platform it builds, shaping how FutureLog develops, delivers, and competes for years to come. The role combines organizational leadership, technical direction, customer-facing responsibility, and the opportunity to define what an AI-enabled engineering organization can become.
The role combines leadership of people and teams with genuine technical ownership. The Head of AI-enabled Engineering is expected to understand the technology deeply, engage credibly with senior engineers and architects, shape architectural direction, and guide the organization in adopting AI as a meaningful part of how FutureLog designs, builds, and evolves its technology.
General Tasks and Responsibilities
- Engineering leadership: Lead a ~30-person engineering organization through five Engineering Managers, with responsibility for team structure, hiring, development, and capacity planning.
- Technical leadership & engineering excellence: Set technical direction across Engineering, working with engineers and architects on key decisions, while driving strong standards for quality, reliability, security, and AI-enabled engineering practices.
- Strategic delivery & customers: Provide technical leadership for strategic customer programs and represent Engineering with key enterprise customers, including technical due diligence and escalations.
- Architecture & platform evolution: Guide the continued evolution of FutureLog's platform toward a modern, extensible foundation for AI-enabled workflows, integrations, and future products.
- AI-enabled engineering: Help the organization adopt AI-assisted engineering and new AI-enabled ways of working across development, testing, delivery, and operations.
- Security & compliance: Oversee the technical aspects of security and compliance, including the ISO 27001 ISMS, security incident response, and technical contract review.
Qualifications
- Engineering leadership: Experience leading multi-team engineering organizations, ideally in B2B SaaS or a similar technology environment, with an understanding of how AI is changing engineering organizations, team structures, and ways of working.
- Technical understanding: Strong technical and architectural judgment across areas such as web platforms, integrations, data, cloud infrastructure, and security. Able to engage comfortably with experienced engineers and architects.
- People & team leadership: A track record of developing engineering teams and leaders, setting clear direction, and creating an environment where strong technical talent can thrive.
- AI & change leadership: Exposure to AI-enabled engineering and experience leading or supporting change initiatives that introduce new technologies, tools, or ways of working within an engineering organization.
- Platform thinking: Comfortable balancing today's customer and product needs with the longer-term evolution of the technology platform.
- Security & commercial awareness: Familiarity with enterprise security, GDPR/ISO 27001, and working with customers on technical and contractual topics.
- Technology: Familiarity with our current stack — PHP 8, Symfony, NextJS/NodeJS, Flutter, .NET, VBScript, Python, Azure, Terraform, and Claude Code — or comparable technologies and architectures.
