Hauptaufgaben
•Directs firefighting, rescue, and daily operations; acts as Incident Commander; manages critical coordination with host nation and outside agencies.
•Handles HR tasks (appraisals, leave, promotions, grievances) and leads comprehensive training and certification programs for subordinates.
•Plans work schedules, develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manages special projects (including contracts), and maintains supplies.
•Performs operational, housekeeping, and maintenance duties, and actively supports fire prevention activities.
•Operates communication equipment, processes emergency/service calls, and dispatches necessary work orders.
•Maintains firefighting equipment and apparatus; serves as a standby crew member during hazardous operations.
•Adheres to and enforces health, safety, and environmental rules, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

P-0081-05:
• Meets all requirements for P-1:
- German certification as basic firefighter (abgeschlossene Ausbildung zum TruppmannTeil 2 gemaB FwDV2)
- German certification as breathing apparatus wearer (air-independent) (abgeschlossene Ausbildung zum Atemschutzgeratetrager gemaB FwDv2)
- Medical certificate regarding the fitness assessment for "Group 3 respiratory protective equipment" (formerly G26.3) in accordance with DGUV and ArbMedW (Arztliche Bescheinigung Ober die Eignungsbeurteilung filr ,,Atemschutzgerate der Gruppe 3"
(ehem. G26.3) gemaB DGUV und ArbMedVV)
- Lower Secondary School certificate (Hauptschulabschluss)
- Driver's license class B
- Driver's license class C desired; if not in possession, license needs to be obtained within 24 months of employment
• Completed training IAW applicable directives of the U.S. Stationing Forces
• 2 years of specialized experience I and 3 years of specialized experience II as defined below
Specialized Experience I:
Experience while in possession of the German certification as basic firefighter as an active and regular member of an organized city or volunteer fire department using motorized equipment or as a firefighter in a military or industrial establishment or in a comparable plant or institution using motorized equipment. Experience in a voluntary fire department must include regular attendance at training and instruction. Experience gained in inspecting for and detecting, controlling, and eliminating fire hazards; applying fire regulations and fire codes; writing descriptions of violations and corrective recommendations; and speaking to groups on fire prevention.
Specialized Experience II:
Experience leading teams of 5 or more firefighters; this experience must have been gained as a full-time employee within a fire department. At airfields, experience with ARFF must be present. Skilled in executing, developing, planning, and adapting training schedules. Planning and implementing daily tasks, as well as budget planning and implementing, must be part of his experience.

• Working on weekends and holidays as well as 24hr shift work required.
• The incumbent of this position is occasionally required to perform TDY (Temporary Duty Travel) up to 20 %.
• Beard or sideburns in the area of the sealing lip of the respiratory mask are not permitted.
• The position requires successful completion of pre-employment medical examination for "Group 3 respiratory protective equipment" (formerly G26.3) in accordance with DGUV and ArbMedVV, and periodic examinations thereafter. The employing organization together with medical authorities will determine the types of examinations required, considering examination requirements stipulated in German labor law.
• The employee commits to perform physical work, including lifting, holding, and carrying loads (up to 25kg), as part of the duties.
• Driver's license class B required. Driver's license class C must be obtained at own expense within 24 months of employment. Otherwise, the employment relationship is terminated.
• Must complete training in accordance with applicable directives of the Stationing Forces. If the training is failed twice, the employment relationship is considered terminated.
• English Language Proficiency Level C1 AND German Language Proficiency Level C2 required.
