The Database Management division is responsible for database operations at the German Pension Insurance’s data centers.
We are responsible for the planning, design, and operation of databases for all pension insurance providers.
Your Responsibilities You will be responsible for building and further developing our georedundant, high-availability database infrastructure, as well as all database architecture matters for the DRV data center Developing standards and guidelines for the deployment and operation of the databases (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and relevant tools—including the creation of database architecture planning documents—also falls within your scope of responsibilities To this end, you will develop concepts for a future database architecture in close collaboration with the respective stakeholders, formulate appropriate database architecture goals, identify necessary individual architecture development steps, coordinate them, and facilitate the corresponding governance decisions You will participate in projects and working groups, as well as in cross-functional, complex system development initiatives, and support the division’s database strategy You will plan the migration to future database architectures, ensure compliance with enterprise architecture guidelines, and secure the necessary implementation decisions You will support the further development of automation in our Database Management division.
