Sheet Metal Fabricator / Construction Mechanic

Job Responsibilities

• Fabricate fine and thin sheet metal components for machine enclosures and welded assemblies.
  
• Work independently according to technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs) and work plans.
  
• Process thin sheet metal, typically 1–4 mm, and up to approximately 5 mm.
  
• Assemble, fit and weld sheet metal components accurately.
  
• Grind and finish components to achieve a clean surface suitable for direct powder coating.
  
• Maintain required inspection dimensions and tolerances.
  
• Ensure high standards of visual quality and clean workmanship.
  
• Work with steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
  
• Perform TIG welding when required. TIG welding experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  
• Follow workplace safety procedures and quality standards.
  

Requirements

• Relevant vocational qualification or practical experience in sheet metal fabrication, construction mechanics, metalworking or a related trade.
  
• Good ability to read and understand technical drawings, BOMs and work plans.
  
• Practical experience in thin sheet metal fabrication and assembly.
  
• Experience working with steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
  
• Good skills in fitting, welding, grinding and finishing sheet metal components.
  
• Strong attention to dimensional accuracy and visual quality.
  
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
  
• B2 German language skills required
  

Advantageous

• Experience with TIG welding.
  
• Experience manufacturing machine enclosures or similar precision sheet metal assemblies.
  
• Experience preparing components for powder coating.
  

⚠️ Important

This is NOT a pure Welder position.

The role focuses primarily on sheet metal fabrication, assembly, fitting, finishing and quality control. Welding is an important part of the work, but candidates should have broader experience in sheet metal fabrication and construction.

Requirements
Minimum 10th Pass. 3–6 months of experience as an Aluminum Fabricator, Fabrication Technician, or related role. Basic knowledge of aluminum fabrication tools, materials, and installation techniques. Ability to read engineering/fabrication drawings is an advantage. Physically fit and willing to work in a manufacturing environment. Good communication skills. Age: 21–40 years.
