A Snapshot of Your Day

The role is structured around three core areas: strategic data architecture design, technical governance and standards, and project leadership. This focus ensures the development of a robust and scalable data infrastructure, alignment with enterprise standards, and effective execution of data-centric initiatives during the reorganization. Given the focus on these areas, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing complex data solutions and a deep understanding of IT architecture principles. The role requires a recognized subject matter expert capable of managing large projects with limited oversight and mentoring other professionals.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and maintain the overall data architecture strategy, including scalable data models, integration patterns, data flows, and technology roadmaps.

  • Design architecture solutions for data warehouses, data lakes, and real-time data processing platforms that support business objectives.

  • Assess and recommend innovative data technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities within the Grid Technologies environment.

  • Establish and govern data architecture standards, policies, and best practices, ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and enterprise requirements.

  • Lead the architecture of complex, large-scale data initiatives, translating business needs into robust technical solutions and ensuring seamless system integration.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data professionals, acting as a subject matter expert and fostering collaboration across business and IT stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive professional experience as a Data Architect, Solutions Architect, or in a similar senior data-focused role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex data projects or processes with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Advanced technical capabilities across data management and engineering, including data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT design, cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), database systems (SQL/NoSQL), system integration, and data governance.
  • Well‑developed behavioral capabilities, including strategic thinking, effective stakeholder management, coaching and mentoring, and the ability to solve complex problems in dynamic environments.
  • Solid understanding of IT architecture principles, including frameworks such as TOGAF, to support the design and alignment of scalable and robust technology solutions.
