Logistics Manager

An international company is currently recruiting a Logistics Manager to join its team in Düsseldorf.

The role will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of heavy cable drums weighing between 50 and 100 tonnes, together with related equipment and materials, to construction sites. You will coordinate with customers, suppliers, logistics companies, subcontractors, and the company’s Japan headquarters to ensure safe and efficient delivery.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of shipping, freight handling, customs procedures, and transport coordination, together with experience using ERP systems such as SAP.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the successful delivery of 50–100 tonne cable drums, accessories, tools, and other required materials to construction sites
• Coordinate logistics arrangements with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, including transport routes and required measures
• Review VEMAGS permit documentation and develop solutions where improvements are required
• Coordinate with the Logistics Manager at the company’s headquarters in Japan and prepare required logistics documents and plans
• Inspect delivered goods for quantity and quality and supervise loading onto transport vehicles
• Provide instructions to logistics companies regarding goods and delivery locations and maintain continuous communication to prevent transport damage
• Organise and monitor the safe temporary storage of energy cables
• Manage and control logistics costs and maintain documentation of logistics activities, procedures, guidelines, and changes

Ideal Candidate

• Strong knowledge of shipping processes, freight handling, and customs formalities
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP
• Experience with freight forwarders, freight costs, and transport coordination
• Basic Excel skills
• Strong analytical and solution-oriented approach
• Experience with MS Project or similar software is advantageous

Conditions

• Location : Düsseldorf, Germany
• Working Style : office based
• Salary : €80,000–€100,000 per annum depending on experience
• Job Type : permanent, full-time
• Working Hours : 9 : 00-18 : 00 / 8 : 00-17 : 00 from Monday to Friday
• Start : ASAP, ideally from 1 January 2026
