About the Role
We are seeking a driven, commercially sharp Sales Manager for Wholesale & Third-Party Fund Business (m/f/d) to join FERI AG, a leading independent multi-asset manager in the German-speaking region managing over €65 billion in assets.
Operating within our newly reorganized Fund Solutions unit, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our distribution network across Germany. This position requires a strong background in liquid asset classes and wholesale fund sales, targeting institutional distributors, Sparkassen, cooperative banks (Genossenschaftsbanken), private bankers, and independent financial advisors (IFAs).
Key Responsibilities
- New Partner Acquisition: Proactively acquire new distribution partners and expand our footprint across the German banking and wholesale channel.
- Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and maintain long-term client relationships, advising partners on FERI's proprietary fund solutions and liquid investment strategies.
- Sales Collateral & Presentations: Create, refine, and deliver compelling pitch decks, proposals, and marketing collateral using MS PowerPoint.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Product Development, Portfolio Management, and Marketing to align client feedback with strategy.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor capital market trends and competitor activities to optimize sales approaches.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain clean and accurate data within CRM systems, producing regular sales reports and pipeline forecasts.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Experience: 3 to 8 years of relevant professional sales experience in banking, asset management, or wealth management, with a proven track record in liquid asset classes and wholesale fund sales.
- Education: Completed banking apprenticeship (Bankausbildung, preferably at a Sparkasse or Genossenschaftsbank) OR a university degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of capital markets, investment products (equities, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs), and institutional banking processes.
- Language Skills: Fluent, negotiation-level German (C1) and good professional English (B2).
- Mobility & Presence: Readiness for regular nationwide travel to visit clients and willingness to work on-site at our Bad Homburg headquarters approx. 3 days per week.
- Sales Drive: High new-business resilience, strong persuasion skills, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset rather than a "lone wolf" approach.
Nice-to-Haves:
- An established, active professional network within Sparkassen, Genossenschaftsbanken, or private banking channels.
- Prior experience in third-party fund distribution (Drittfondsgeschäft).
Working Environment & Location Policy
- Primary Hub: FERI's modern headquarters in Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe (with occasional presence possible at regional offices in Hamburg, Hanover, Munich, or Düsseldorf).
- Hybrid Model: Structured around 3 days on-site and 2 days working remotely per week, combined with regular nationwide business travel.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: Competitive fixed remuneration ranging from €75,000 to €110,000 gross p.a. (commensurate with experience).
- Variable Incentives: Annual performance-based bonus (~€6,000 – €10,000).
- Mobility Allowance: Corporate car budget (approx. €1,100 / €1,250 for Electric Vehicles).
- Work-Life Balance: Trust-based flexible working hours, health management programs, and athletic offerings.
- Additional Perks: Kindergarten cost subsidies, Deutschlandticket, corporate bike leasing, and monthly shopping card top-ups.
