Following our successful international growth strategy, we have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic
International Product Manager (f / m / x)
based in Lyon (FR), Troisdorf / Cologne (GER) or Eindhoven (NL).
In close cooperation with the R&D, purchasing, operations departments and the global sales teams, the Product Manager is responsible for the strategic development of one defined product group, incl. market analysis, product development project management and strategic marketing support.
Your role :
- Act as the key interface and translator between the commercial market requirements and our product development / innovation departments.
- A nalyse local market demands worldwide, identify trends and understand future customer expectations.
- Develop the product range under your responsibility based on solid data / business cases to contribute to the global business development strategies for these products
- Be a main driver of innovation for the defined ranges in close cooperation with R&D and Engineering departments – and in line with overall company vision.
- Manage the product development project life cycle, taking into account technical limitations in the production, potential CAPEX requirements and ROI calculations – together with R&D, engineering, purchasing, controlling and manufacturing.
- Build a strategic marketing plan for the products under your responsibility, incl. definition of sales targets, market positioning, business development opportunities and differentiation from competitors.
- Monitor the product portfolio performance (Product scorecards, mix, etc.), analyse sales KPIs and pricing and create insightful performance reports for the management.
- Create product communication tools, ensure access to relevant product data (technical databanks, training, promotion tools) and proactively support the Gerflor sales teams on all aspects related to the “your” ranges.
Requirements
University degree in management, marketing or engineering5+ years working experience in similar role in the building materials industryStrong analytical capabilities and very good project management skills (multi-project management, multi-stakeholder management)Good technical understanding and focus on detailCustomer-centric mindset and very good commercial skillsTeam player attitude and the ability to prepare and take decisionsThe flexibility to work cross-functionally and to quickly to adapt to different people and management levels – in an international environmentVery good communication skills in English and at least one additional European language (ideally French and / or German)Willingness to travel (approx. 25%)Other information
