What you will enjoy doing

• You areprimary counsel and trusted advisor for Energy & Environmental law andProcurement as well as for German FunctionsOperations, Business Management Productivity, Procurement, SHEQ, Digitalizationand Real Estate
• Yoursparring partners also include the Energy, Operational and Procurement teams atEMEA, level. You will be an integral part of the Global Law Department, theEMEA Legal Team and the respective Sub-Operations & Services ManagementTeams
• You willbe dealing with exciting European, German and other national Energy and ClimateChange Law Matters, including European and National Emissions Trading Laws,CCS/CCU projects, electrolysis opportunities and other aspects of the Europeanand German decarbonization strategies
• You willteam up with local/specialist counselsacross EMEA in the drafting and commenting of relevant procurement and sales(including, but not limited to onsite gas supply contracts) documents forLinde’s legal entities contracting under different European laws, including on(Green) Hydrogen, Carbon Capture Storage/Utilization, Ammonia back-cracking andother decarbonization or traditional industry or specialist applicationsopportunities
• Furthermore, depending on business priorities and your individual interests, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of legal matters spanning operational activities, procurement, Safety, Health, Environment and Quality, regulatory compliance, and litigation, providing a unique opportunity to develop a well-rounded and impactful legal career within the organization.

What makes you great

• You area fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist) with both German StateExaminations at least completed with distinction (Prädikatsexamen). You bringpractical experience in the energy sector, preferably acquired in Germany.Additional qualifications in other European jurisdictions and/or expertise inEU regulatory or public law are considered a strong asset
• You haveprofound knowledge of European and German laws, in particular Energy andEnvironmental laws, and experience in related administrative processes
• At least3+years’ post qualification/graduation experience in the relevant areas, out ofwhich at least 2 years of relevant expertise in a comparable in-house role, asenergy consultancy/auditor, in a law firm or with an energy related publicauthority or in-house
• Through your hands-on experience in the gases, chemicals, or broader energy sector, you have developed a strong understanding of industry-specific challenges and are able to translate legal requirements into pragmatic business solutions
• In close collaboration with colleagues across functions, countries, and cultures, you build trusted relationships and effectively contribute to cross-functional and international teams, ensuring alignment between legal, operational, and commercial objectives
• Moreover, you combine excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, while communicating fluently in both German and English. Knowledge of an additional European language is considered a valuable asset that will further enhance your effectiveness in this role
