Development Engineer Electromechanics & Design (m/f/d)

We are seeking a dedicated development engineer for a leading technology partner in the security and defense industry who will make a crucial contribution to future-proof equipment and national security with high-precision electromechanical assemblies and modern design solutions.

Your tasks

• Development and design of electromechanical components, assemblies and segments that meet requirements and are suitable for manufacturing, using 3D CAD.
• Analysis of overarching customer requirements and creation of 3D implementation concepts, taking into account interfaces and reusability components.
• Design, selection and specification of suitable standard and purchased parts within the framework of quality, schedule and cost goals.
• Technical coordination with internal departments, external suppliers and customers, including technical support for the procurement process
• Creation, review and maintenance of standards-compliant technical product specifications as well as management of product data in SAP PLM
• Management of external subcontractors in development and manufacturing scopes
• Planning, execution and support of integration activities, first prototypes and engineering tests
• Participation in customer qualification, acceptance testing, and technical support for customer documentation.
• Preparation and support for series production readiness, testability, and series production launch.
• Participation in the technical effort estimation and offer preparation

Your profile

• Successfully completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, precision engineering, mechatronics or a comparable qualification
• First solid experience in 3D CAD design, ideally with Siemens NX
• Initial practical experience in mechanical or plant engineering as well as a basic understanding of optics and electrical engineering
• User knowledge of SAP-PLM as well as sound knowledge of mechanics, materials engineering and design methods.
• Fluent German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
• Strong goal orientation, organizational skills and a structured way of working, even in dynamic project phases
• High level of initiative, creativity in finding solutions, and willingness to travel worldwide.
