Hauptaufgaben
• Directing contractor compliance with schedules, plans, and specifications, resolving site problems, enforcing safety programs, and coordinating infrastructure issues with Host Nation and U.S. Military Officials.
• Serving as the acting Resident Engineer when absent, assisting with administrative training, resolving employee complaints, and recommending personnel actions such as selections, duties, and discipline.
• Performing constructability reviews of project designs to identify site compatibility issues, evaluating contractor quality control systems, and maintaining effective relations with local Government agencies.
• Inspecting and approving on-site materials and equipment, expediting Government-furnished equipment, and analyzing contractor cost proposals against independent estimates.
• Conducting price and time negotiations with contractors for modifications and claims, assembling engineering data, and leading settlement conferences as the government spokesperson.
• Coordinating internal office segments to ensure consistent operations and maintaining liaison with user representatives regarding warranties, contract changes, and minimizing operational interference.
• Preparing essential reports and correspondence related to field activities, progress payments, contract modifications, materials, and construction delays.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
C-8:
MINIMUM Fachhochschulabschluss/Abschluss einer Berufsakademie/technischer Hochschulabschluss as an Engineer in the discipline specifically required for the position.
Graduates must be fully recognized by German authorities to practice the engineering profession in Germany. Applicants from foreign countries must obtain an equivalent certification from pertinent German authorities that certifies recognition to practice the engineering profession in the area of specialization of the position.

• Applicant must be in the possession of a valid driver's license class B and must be able to obtain/maintain a military motor vehicle operator's license.
• Office Automation skills required.
• English Language Proficiency Level C1 AND German Language Proficiency Level C1 required.
• Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) occasionally required.
